Fraser Mills, Coquitlam

Fraser Mills was once the largest sawmill in the British Empire, and is considered to be the “birthplace” of Coquitlam.

The Beedie Development Group is expecting the build out of the 89 acre Fraser Mills site over the next 15 to 20 years.

Construction on Phase 1 of the Fraser Mills Waterfront Village is expected to include the main plaza with a 22-storey tower, eight- and six-storey mid-rises, and a two-storey complex with a restaurant and commercial space.

The plan for Fraser Mills includes:

• 3,700 residential units comprised of 760 townhomes, 865 mid-rise units, and 2,075 tower units

• up to 275,000 sq. ft. of commercial space (retail, restaurants, etc.);

• about 15 acres of light industrial/office space;

• 72,500 sq. ft of private indoor amenity floor space for up to 10,000 new residents;

• 1.1 acres for a post-secondary institution (yet to be confirmed);
